OPTIMOLD

A new project dedicated to improving the molding of rubber and thermosetting materials

02 April 2026
OPTIMOLD

The project aims to significantly improve the efficiency of molding processes in the rubber and plastic sector.

Within a strategic industry for the Lombardy economy—characterized by high production volumes—OPTIMOLD introduces innovative solutions to address the main operational challenges across the entire supply chain. Specifically, Research and Development activities focus on reducing cycle times, energy consumption, and costs, while simultaneously increasing mold durability and the quality of finished products.

OPTIMOLD takes a cross‑cutting approach to the molding processes of rubber, elastomers, and thermosetting materials.

The research activity also includes the ambitious objective of designing and developing a new high‑energy‑efficiency press.

The adoption of advanced molding technologies and an integrated approach enables overall process performance to be improved, promoting a modern, competitive, and sustainability‑oriented production model.
