Postcards from Plast 2026

An edition to remember: curious visitors, handshakes, celebratory toasts, and countless new projects on the horizon.

20 July 2026
Plast 2026 once again proved to be an unmissable event for us and for the plastics industry. Four intense days marked by a steady flow of visitors, customers, partners, and professionals eager to discover our solutions and the latest services designed to enhance the value of moulded product surfaces.

The Surface Gurus’ Stand

We chose this exhibition as the stage to unveil the evolution of our payoff, a change that reflects ML Engraving's growth and the expansion of the services we offer. While our identity remains firmly rooted in the expertise that has always distinguished us, it is now enriched by new technologies and an increasingly integrated approach, capable of supporting customers throughout the entire journey, from feasibility analysis to logistics.

Our stand was designed to showcase this evolution in a tangible way. Through a selection of products from different industries, ranging from automotive and sports equipment to furniture and lighting, we demonstrated how textures and finishes can enhance materials and surfaces while meeting a wide variety of aesthetic and functional requirements.

ML Textures®: finishes ready for industrialization

At the center of the stand stood our digital desk, a dedicated space where visitors could discover ML Textures®, the major innovation we introduced at this year's edition.

ML Textures® is our exclusive digital catalog of industrialized finishes. It was developed not only to facilitate inspiration and material research, but also to help designers identify validated and immediately manufacturable solutions, already optimized for mold texturing. By doing so, it contributes to reducing development time, costs, and process complexity.

Alongside the catalog, considerable attention was given to our DRE® Renders, the digital twins of textured products. For every item on display, visitors could explore its digital preview and verify the exact correspondence between the virtual model and the final textured surface.

Meaningful connections

Plast was also an important opportunity to strengthen existing collaborations and establish new relationships.

Throughout the exhibition, we met with partners, customers, and colleagues involved in the research and innovation projects we are currently developing.

Among them was OPTIMOLD, the European project focused on improving rubber and thermoset molding processes, and NewSkin, the association of which we are founding members, promoting technologies and solutions aimed at industrial sustainability, material durability, and the optimization of manufacturing processes.
