AIRISE

Artificial intelligence is having a real impact in different fields and disciplines.

As lovers of technological innovation we are fascinated by it and, above all, we have the curiosity to question it and put it to the test so that it can become a useful tool.

Thanks to the ATTAI project, we finally have the chance to do this with a scientific approach.

Our project has won the 3rd open call oj the AIRISE tender, dedicated to experiments that intend to test AI in manufacturing industry.

With ATTAI, the acronym for Automated Textures Through AI, we intend to interrogate artificial intelligence in order to insert it as a useful tool for creating some finishes characterized by repeatable modules. The project will start by analyzing existing textures and then evaluate whether AI can recognize recurring patterns, replicate them and thus obtain larger modules with no splice marks. 

OUR OBJECTIVES

This work mainly concerns some families of textures, such as grains, noises and skins which, by their nature, require a lot of repetitive work to perfect them. The most important goal is to free up valuable time for creativity, allowing our texture designers to focus on creating custom textures, do research and in general to engage in more stimulating activities that nourish their artistic sensibilities.

For this project, we will work together with the Spanish research centre AIMEN, a centre of excellence in helping to improve the EU’s industrial competitiveness through research, development and technological innovation projects.
