Adell by Arper: Nature as an inspiration

A play of concentric lines reminiscent of the veins of leaves and the enticing shapes of nature

This is the texture created for Adell, a chair in polypropylene from the famous Arper brand, designed in collaboration with the Lievore + Altherr Désile Park architectural firm of Barcelona. The finish winds around all of the shell of Adell, inside and out, in a rather ambitious project.
Our texture designers translated the suggestions expressed in the styling centre concept into a refined botanical finish.
Our texture designers translated the suggestions expressed in the styling centre concept into a refined botanical finish.
A result that originates from a constant dialogue between Arper, Lievore and the texture lab, our co-design team. ML Engraving’s DRE Render facilitated designing of the texture and its approval, reducing times and distances. Digital support is the key to successful co-designing, the point where artistic intuition and production constraints converge.

Our digital designing lets us deal with industrialization needs ahead of time and moulding-related technical issues.
«We got along with the ML Engraving creative team right from the start and this was determinant for the success of the project»

See the details of the organic texture of Adell with the DRE Render
With the DRE Render you can observe your product with the applied texture in an immersive experience that anticipates the moulding result. The DRE Render is unique because it is an executive file and can be interpreted by laser machines to engrave the mould. What you see on the screen is what you will touch with your hands after processing.

Prestigious brands and styling centres have chosen us to engrave their exclusive textures. You also pick the laser to enhance your product.
Sustainable beauty
Arper is an Italian design brand recognized on an international level for its production of high-end chairs, tables and furniture.

The importance of the relationship between people and the space they occupy is the key to its success. Sustainability is another fundamental value for Arper: Adell is an example of this, created with polypropylene 80% of which comes from post industrial waste.

A choice we support because it promotes the importance of a responsible supply chain. We believe that sustainability also encompasses virtuous processes and low environmental impact technologies.
