Fairs and events about laser technology

ML Engraving arrived in London to present Softslide - Friction Management Solution in its world premiere, along with the project partners. The wager to reduce friction in dynamic seals with laser texturing has been won and the results are even more satisfactory than expected. Managing friction based on the specific needs of the customer and application sector is a great competitive advantage and once again shows the advantages and potential of laser technology.

Plast is the benchmark trade show for the plastic moulding industry. The 2018 edition, enhanced with the establishment of The Innovation Alliance, a complete technological showcase including 5 trade exhibitions, was a winning choice. The interest for more than one trade show allowed visitors to optimise their visit to look for new partners, new solutions and new business.
 

2017 is expected to be a very eventful year for ML Engraving, that will take part to 3 of the most important international fairs, dedicated to mold and plastic materials moulding industries. The first event is the fair MECSPE in Parma, that will take place in March. Thereafter ML Engraving will be present at the fair FIP in Lyon and at the FAKUMA in Friedrichshafen. On October 10-11 representatives of more than 400 excellent SMEs came together in Brussels in order to meet international investors, senior executive managers and technologically innovative entrepreneurs, during the SME Instrument Innovators Summit, a 2 days of workshops, pitching sessions and matching, dedicated to the development of high-technology projects. ML Engraving, leader in 3D laser engraving and winner of the 1st and 2nd phases of SME Instrument, took part to this event. Read the resume.
 

ML Engraving, winner of the European funding program iHorizon 2020-SME Instrument, will take part to the event Industrial Technologies 2016, a high-profile appointment for those companies, who base their development on technological innovation. An intense schedule of events, B2B, meetings with European Union Commissioners and workshops will characterize the event, that will take place in Amsterdam.
 

Friday the 9th October the 28th General Conference of Confartigianato Bergamo will open its doors. Europe will be the focus of the debate, as its name states: "SMEs and Europe. How to turn into opportunities the relationship with the European Union, its institutions, its rules and its finance ". ML Engraving, leader in 3D laser texturing on moulds, will present its project INFINITE, winner of the public competition Horizon 2020.


 

The most important event for 2015 is Plast, one of the most important exhibitions worldwide for plastics and rubber industry. The fair will prove itself as the most waited and attended appointment for this sector. "SUPERFACE - Innovazione delle superfici tra funzionalità e decorazioni”. Material ConneXion® Italy presents the first meeting of the series "Materials meet Business". Some innovative solutions, related to a specific matter will be presented to a selected and restricted number of companies. ML Engraving will be one of the 3 companies, that will attend this opening appointment and will present its exclusive digital co-design and 3D laser engraving services.  
 

From 21 to 24 May the new Open House of Torielli S.p.a. will be held. This event will give the possibility to industry operators to see new solutions and services offered by Torielli, a leading company in the sector of footwear at the international level, including surface textures made using 3D laser technology by ML Engraving, that will present a preview of the texture collection specifically developed to the world of footwear.


 

Andrea Lodetti, President of Cactooos – The Engraving Network, will speak at the Photonics Technologies Convention for the Factory of the Future, promoted by the Polytechnic University of Milan, which will be held during A&T - AFFIDABILITA’ & TECNOLOGIE (Reliability & Technologies) on April 16th and 17th in Turin. A&T is a landmark event in Italy for control solutions and technologies in service of production, testing and artificial display for QA, inspection and traceability.


 

ML Engraving announces its participation to the K tradeshow in Düsseldorf. K is the world’s premier trade fair for plastics and rubber, where the visitors will find the entire global offering related to the sector. 27th of September Angelo Petrogalli, chief of DS4 Laser Technology, co-founder and CTO of Cactooos – The Engraving Network, will attend the 6° Workshop Laser Alta Brillanza (High brilliance laser) promoted by SITEC - Laboratory for Laser Applications of Politecnico di Milano. The title is “High brilliance laser sources for industrial applications: fiber, disk and the new emerging diode”.


 

Andrea Lodetti, CEO of ML Engraving and president of Cactooos - The Engraving Network, will intervene at the conference: "Company networks: a way out of the crisis". The convention is organized by Compagnia delle Opere during the Rimini Meeting, a renowned cultural event, that since more than 30 years groups important politicians, industrialists and leading cultural figures, who discuss and wonder about very current themes.


 

ML Engraving and the other members of the Cactooos network will take part to the international Metal Replacement Forum, hosted by Eris Program and Plast, focused on themes linked to design and production. The seminar will be focused on the technopolymers in replacement of metal alloys and aluminum, for production of plastic components in a whole range of different application fields.


 

Starting from the 9th of April, ML Engraving will take part to an exclusive event during Fuori Salone of Milan to present a special project called "Acqua Elsa - Water for all", developed together with SMI Group and designers Elena Sturla (Whitedistrict studio) and Marco Colombo (Marcocolombodesign studio). Acqua Elsa is a prototype for a new water bottle, that is meant to offer strategic solutions for what ergonomy, shape and size concerns. The surface textures have been developed in order to give a more elegant look to the bottle.


 

March: this month is dedicated to the introduction of Cactooos – The Engraving Network, that collects the best resources for the creation and reproduction of textures on moulds for plastic and rubber objects. Cactooos aims to put itself forward as a sole and trustworthy partner of style centers and top brands that are willing to dare and be original. The Network offers co-design, digital services and the most cutting-edge technologies available on the market.


 

Euromold, the international tradeshow for plastic and rubber moulds, was recognized once again as one of the most awaited events of the year in the sector. From ML Engraving's point of view, the 2012 edition was characterized by the high-quality profile of the visitors: product managers and chief designers of top brands were caught by the many examples of laser texturing and stated their concrete interest of starting new “laser-based” projects.


 

Plast 2012 - the triennial fair among the most important in the plastic materials sector - concluded on 12 May 2012 giving a positive signal to the operators in the sector. ML Engraving participated in the event and presented the new development 2012: the Micro Laser Grains, micro engravings (from 0 to 0,004 mm) that allow to surgically work on extremely precise areas of moulds or metal items in order to enrich plastic and rubber products. ML Engraving confirms its leadership with the laser texturing technology at Euromold 2011. The quality of the superficial textures, the growth of the international business and the partnership with the Standex Engraving Group for the Automotive industry are evident results. September 28th, 2011. The annual workshop of UCISAP entitled “Innovate to compete in mould manufacturing and moulding of plastic materials”; has taken place in Cinisello Balsamo, Milan. Mr Pastore, UCISAP current President, has pointed out the responsibility of the association of creating a strong sense of cooperation among Italian mould makers in order to face the international market. Italian handicrafts are know to exceed expectations in terms of quality and creativity, but they need to be promoted as well as they are made.


 

ML Engraving takes part to the 10° edition of MECSPE – the international exhibition for the manufacturing industry. This important appointment has fulfilled ML Engraving expectations: numerous visitors have stepped into the wooden both of the Company to look at and touch the 2D and 3D textures engraved by means of  the laser photo-engraving process. An area of the stand has been dedicated to the D.R.E® - Design Rendering Engineering in order to show its working phases.
